Ballesteros, Alhaurin Golf is set in the mountains
between Alhaurin el Grande and Mijas Pueblo it
wraps itself around the undulating landscape providing
one of the most scenic backdrops to a course on
the Costa del Sol.
The 18 hole Seve Ballesteros designed par 72 course
is very challenging. The course has a plenty of
bunkers and water hazards. In addition, there
is also a 9 hole hole course plus an 18 hole junior
course. In addition there is a restaurant (La
Ventilla), cafeteria, gymnasium with sauna, tennis
courts, swimming pool and equestrian centre.
An ongoing large scale development of apartments
and townhouses is taking place on the perimeter
of the course and two new course under construction
nearby means this area is set to become a major
inland golfing destination.
Although Alhaurin Golf Club is situated inland,
the course is just 30 minutes from Malaga airport
and 10 minutes from Benalmadena and Fuengirola
