El Paraiso Golf
Club, designed in 1973 by Gary Player will tempt
you with wide fairways, then punish you with one
of its many water hazards. Built on hilly terrain
and sloping toward the sea this course is well
worth playing. Visiting handicap golfers can enter
their weekly competition.
Situated 14 kilometres from Marbella in Benavista
between Estepona and San Pedro de Alcantara in
an alley surrounded by hills with magnificient
views of the coast.
El Paraiso Golf course was carefully designed
to achieve a peaceful atmosphere through the varied
abundance of trees and vegetation, strategically
placed lakes and bunkers. Competitions are held
weekly.
With many good golf holes to choose from, without
doubt the 6th, a dogleg left par 5, must be the
best hole on the course.
The drive has to be accurate to avoid two well
positioned bunkers, left and right, and your second
shot must favour the left centre of the fairway
to miss the lake that catches any wayward ball.
Lessons are available from the complete beginner
to the highest Professional level, and can be
given in a wide variety of languages including
English, Spanish, French, German and Swedish.
