Puerto de la Duquesa is regarded as one of the favourite marinas on the Costa del Sol. It is not too big or too noisy. The beautiful port of La Duquesa offers full marina services for boating enthusiasts including free medical care to its users. The marina is surrounded by apartments, shops, restaurants and bars with one or two convenience stores for essentials. The large range of eating and drinking options include French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and, of course, Spanish with its fresh, local fish. The port hosts a unique Crafts Market tow evening per week.
Whether it's miles of pristine beaches with many earning Blue Flag status or cleanliness or rugged mountains with their wildlife, the La Duquesa area offers every type of terrain. There are sandy beaches either side of the marina.

Sabinillas is 5 minutes walk to the north and Manilva is 5 minutes drive to the west. There is a good bus service in the area. One will take you to the village of Casares which clings to the side of a mountain. Marbella, popular with the rich and famous is relatively short journey away.
The Puerto de la Duquesa area enjoys plenty of unspoilt natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol. It should be noted however that a vast amount of apartment developments have sprung up nearby area so traffic and parking may become an issue in the next few years.
The Duquesa area is fast becoming a favorite with golfers due to the proximity of some of Europe's finest golf courses, combine this with the beautiful and peaceful setting of Puerto de la Duquesa itself and it is no surprise so many golfers are coming back. La Duquesa Golf and Country Club boasts an 18 hole course wonderful sea and mountain views. In addition to golf, the club offers many facilities including tennis, squash, and a fully equipped gym with a qualified resident trainer. More golf courses are close at hand with over 30 within 20 minutes drive including the nearby Estepona and Sotogrande areas
