Description |
Villa Sa Ronda is a new, large detached villa
is ideally located on the 2nd line of the International
Yacht Marina at Cala d'Or on the east coast
of Mallorca on the Balearic Islands. The sandy
beach ‘Es Pou’ and the selection of
fine restaurants and shops along the edge of the
Marina are within easy walking distance. Cala d'Or centre and the other beaches are just
a few minutes drive away.

Accommodation |
The accommodation is on two levels with the entrance
door leading to a large hallway which gives access
to a spacious living room which benefits from comfy
sofas, quality furnishings and a feature open fireplace
and patio doors to the covered terrace. Entertainment
is provided by a Satellite TV, DVD player and stereo
system. The modern fitted breakfast kitchen, with
doors to the hallway, living room and rear terrace
offers modern appliances including a double sink
unit, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric
oven and ceramic hob. A small passageway from the
living room gives access to a lovely double bedroom
with en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom and a separate
family shower room. A staircase leads to the second
floor where there is small sitting area giving access
to the master double bedroom suite having an en-suite
bathroom, a balcony and a walk-in dressing room
and wardrobe area. There is also a spacious twin
bedroom with en-suite bathroom room on this level
that has access to the balcony. All the bedrooms
have fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and air conditioning
/ central heating units.
Double patio doors from the lounge give access to
a spacious covered terrace with patio furniture
to enjoy ‘Alfresco’ dining. A brick
built Barbeque can be found to the side of the house
with additional access door from the hallway. The
extensive sun terrace surrounds a large 11m x 6m
swimming pool with roman steps and poolside shower.
Sun loungers and parasols are provided. The ornamental
gardens to one side are planted with shrubs and
small trees. This villa is in a convenient location
to enjoy a stroll around the marina in the evening
and sample the fine food in the International restaurants
and local tapas bars.

Mallorca
The Balearic island has everything: deserted sandy
coves, breathtaking mountain landscapes, peaceful
countryside, spectacular coastlines, buzzing resorts
and a wonderful capital city. What better way
to enjoy this stunning Mediterranean island than
from the comfort and luxury of this villa.
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands
and it does have a reputation for mass tourism
and high-octane nightlife. However, while it is
true that Majorca is one of Europe's most popular
holiday destinations, it really does offer so
much more as much of the island consists of a
variety of beautiful and unspoilt countryside.
Where the mountains meet the sea you will find
lovely unspoilt coves, and in the mountains themselves
lie many charming towns and monasteries. Across
the centre and to the south east of the island
lie plains dotted with windmills, whilst olive
and almond groves flourish in the rich soil.
Cala D'Or area
Cala D'Or is popular with families and friends
travelling together. The sandy beaches with their
turquoise water are safe for young children. The
pretty coves and attractive pine-clad surrounding
countryside lend to quiet relaxing days, whereas
by night the main precinct in Cala D'Or offers
a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants
for evening entertainment. Many sports facilities
are available including tennis, sailing, horse
riding, diving. Golf is available at the Vall
D'or 18-hole golf course near the village of S'Horta.
Stunning coves
Approximately 30km north from Cala d'Or
is the resort of Porto Cristo where the famous
Caves of Drach are located. Founded by the Frenchman
Edward Alfred Martel, the Caves of Drach (The
Dragon's Caves) are really immense.
The complex of caverns stretches for 1.6km and
includes a series of underground pools. A sound
and light concert across the lake provides a
memorable finale. The amazing stalactites and
stalagmites and endless strange formations are
a site not to be missed.
Visit neighbouring Porto Petro, a Mallorcan village
by the sea where waiters carry plates of delicious
seafood across the road to the pavement café
on the quay.
