Location Details And Activities
The San Roque Club is in a relaxed but high-quality area with a nearby large village with top quality Supercor supermarket, English butchers, banks, dry cleaners and other shops. Nearby marinas at Sotogrande and Puerto Duquesa have sailing, boating and fishing excursions as well as many waterside bars and restaurants. In Gibraltar and La Linea there are numerous dolphin watch boats operating. Leisure activities also include horse riding, golf, countryside walks, birdwatching and there are many important historical sites to visit. Older children can safely roam the resort which welcomes children. There is no club or disco on site nearest is a 10-15 minutes drive.
Coast/Beaches Beaches nearby (approx 10 minute drive) include Sotogrande and Alcaidesa. There are watersports at both and first class kiteboarding/windsurfing at Tarifa (40 minutes drive) Marbella and Puerto Banus (30 minutes drive).
Golf San Roque Club has 2 top class 18 hole courses, on site golf academy with driving range with resident golf pro Vicente Ballesteros (brother of Seve). Nearby other top quality courses include Club de Golf Valderrama, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Almenara Hotel Golf, and Alcaidesa Golf. Owners golf buggy can be hired by arrangement.
