Location Details And Activities |
| Famous for its range of authentic restaurants, all the facilities of Guia are within easy walking distance. With its many restaurants and various bars, Guia is a great place in which to wine and dine. .Guia itself has a supermarket, newsagents, butchers, bakers, bottle shop, post office, chemists, hairdressers, internet cafe and snack bars. There is a small local market, banks with cash machines and lots more. The medical centre is within 50 yards. Although the village is truly Portuguese, all are made welcome by truly friendly and helpful locals. All the facilities are nearby when needed and, in the meantime, you can simply relax and soak up the sun. The Algarve Shopping Centre is open seven days a week and is just up the road with multi screen cinema, huge selection of food outlets and large supermarket. On the periphery are other retail outlets and restaurants.
Beyond Guia are small villages and hamlets nestling in the countryside, vineyards and citrus groves. Popular destinations like Lagos, Portimao, Silves (with its Moorish Castle), Albufeira, Faro and Vilamoura are all reached very easily.
Coast/Beaches
The blue flag beaches of Galé are a short drive from the villa. Enjoy sun downers, a light meal or romantic dinner at any one of the beach restaurants whilst enjoying those amazing sunsets which are so typical of the Algarve.
Golf
There are a number of top class courses all of which are within a short drive. The nearby N125 and A22 motorway ensure that they can be reached quickly and easily. These include the likes of Salgados, Amendoeira, etc.
Travel & Distances
The property is located about 40km from Faro airport. Car hire is recommended. Guia is easy to find and lies just south of the toll free A22 motorway. The magnificent beaches are less than 10 mins drive away and facilities like Zoomarine and Algarve Shopping are even closer. The town of Guia, famous for it's peri-peri chicken, is a short walk from the villa. There are number of water theme parks situated within a 10 minute drive. Algarve shopping and cinema is within walking distance. The best that the Algarve has to offer is all less than one hour away.
