Should I Advertise Privately? Selling a home privately is difficult as there's little benefit to the buyer who would have to travel at their own expense to find and view one property. However, if you own a property with passing traffic (road or golf course for example), you should consider trying to sell privately in addition to using agents. A professional 'for sale' sign on the outside, good photos and a personal website for reference will greatly improve your chances of success. We can include FSBO (for sale by owner) marketing activity when we carry out the listing.
Is it expensive? No, it's not expensive, and in many cases, the agent who sells your home will reimburse you from their commission. You pay the standard price for the photography of £95 + £50 for the layout plans and listing with agents in the UK and Spain. Keyholding - We charge a small hourly rate to represent you for viewings when you are overseas (or don't have/want to use your property management company) which includes travel time/expenses and typically works out at around £40.
Note for owners outside Spain: 1. We recommend you use a property management company or neighbour to look after your home and make sure it is clean and in good order. We will not be held responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of your home whilst you are away. Any problems found during a viewing will be reported to you. 2. The keyholding service only applies to central Andalucia from Sotogrande to Nerja and north as far as Ronda and Antequera
