Benahavis Pueblo is an attractive
village 7 kilometers inland from
Guadalmina and is reached by driving up through the picturesque
Guadalmina gorge. It has a reputation for good
cuisine and has a surprisingly large number of
restaurants for such a small village. Parking
is difficult as a large number of urbanizations
have been constructed in recent years and the
large number of tourists that visit the area choose
to visit the village both during the day and in
the evening when the restaurants are at their
busiest.
The second area of Benahavis is the beautiful
hillside that runs up from
San
Pedro past
La
Heredia on route to
Ronda.
A few kilometers up the hillside past several
golf courses takes you to a dramatic valley with
stunning multi million pound villas on large tree
lined plots and gated entrances reminiscent of
Beverely Hills.
