Carratraca is located just off
the main A357 road to Campillos around 14 kilometers
past
Alora. Cattatraca
is a small village with a population of less than 1000
people. Most visitors use the area as a base to explore
the stunning surrounding countryside, the
Ardales
lakes and El Chorro,
El
Torcal nature reserve and the historic towns of
Ronda and
Antequera.
In the centre is a small square with a few shops and
bars and narrow winding streets lead off in all directions
some of which is just wide enough to drive through by
car. An historic bullring is also located here though
it is now used for local events, concerts and fiestas.
