Estepona, despite mass tourism across the Costa del Sol since the early 70's has succeeded in maintaining its traditional pueblo charm and character by developing and maintaining the old part of the town in the centre of Estepona. The older part of town has some really charming corners with cobbled alleyways and two lovely old squares. All the tourist facilities are here, including hotels, shops, restaurants, leisure and cultural activities. It’s direct route to Malaga airport via the Coastal highway or toll road and its close proximity to Gibraltar have made Estepona a popular choice for holiday home buyers.

Estepona has long and attractive promenade that stretches across the town with attractive flower beds palm trees and various monuments. All year round you will find local people both young and old meeting up during the day and evenings to chat and watch the world go by.
Traditionally an agricultural and fishing town, there is still a sizeable fishing fleet which is clearly evident on visiting the marina. The seafood on offer in Estepona’s restaurants is superb. The marina itself has been developed and this area has seen the largest expansion activity with many new apartments to the side and above the marina.
