The area of Islantilla in the northern Costa de la Luz is located on the outskirts of Lepe with over 100 kilometers of beautiful coastline. The prime areas are the commercial centre with shops, cafes, restaurants, hotel and the Islantilla golf course.
This area been used for holidays by the Spanish for many years but has now become popular with German and British visitors and buyers.
Islantilla Golf is a fantastic 27 hole course recognized by commentators as being amongst the top category of golf courses in Europe. A selection of luxurious villa and apartments, many of which are available as holiday rentals, surround the course.
You can participate in the many other activities that are offered, such as horse riding, water sports, scenic walks and cycling.
Walk or cycle along the beach paths and then enjoy a drink in one of the many bars overlooking the sea. The second is within the golf resort area itself.
The nearest airport is 85 kilometers away at Faro in Portugal, which is less than 1 hour drive, or Seville airport 135 kilometers, both access able by motorway. The fishing village of Isla Cristina is 5 km. Ayamonte, where you can find a ferry to Portugal, is 13 km's and Huelva is 30 minutes drive.
