Torre del Mar is located 32 kilometers east
from Malaga airport in the direction of Nerja.
Torre del Mar is the coastal resort area of
Velez Malaga, capital of the Axarquia region
though is expected to eventually become recognized
as a separate town in its own right. This is
due to the large expansion of the area including
new out of town retail park and campaigns by
local people.
