| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Video Production For Web Marketing | Recently, there has been a massive growth in the use of video as a marketing tool on the Internet linked with the large adoption of broadband and the huge popularity of websites such as YouTube. However, with property marketing, we don't believe video should be the sole focus, but rather, something that brings an added dimension to the photography work we provide with as much focus on the surroundings as the property itself
We can produce video presentations of holiday rentals, property sales, developments, hotels and web commercials for small businesses using broadcast quality camera equipment with various lenses including wide-angle for interiors. This is combined this with an electronic pan and tilt device that, when fitted to a tripod, allows smooth and perfect movement. We try to strike the right balance between quality and file size (no higher than 12-15mb) to avoid large downloads that put viewers off. The video can be added your website and a copy uploaded to Google Video, YouTube etc. The cost is only £125 when ordered at the same time as the photo shoot and there are no monthly or quarterly fees added to your annual website hosting.
| | Holiday Rental Video Example | The Flash version should work on most computers. For better quality and smoother playback we recommend you select the QuickTime Version below (requires version 7 or higher). If you have an iPod/iTunes, you will already have QuickTime installed on your computer | | | |
| | | 360 Virtual Tours vs Video The starting point should always be good quality photographs, but a smaller though significant percentage will go on to view a video presentation or virtual tour if it's available on a website.
360 Virtual tours Virtual Tours are great for showing certain scenes such as a beautiful historic city square or inside a Cathedral and there are many stunning high resolution QuickTime examples on the internet. However, for real estate marketing, virtual tours often devalue what you're trying to show and there are property websites full of appalling low resolution tours that look like you're viewing them in a magic mirror.
To view an entire property, you often have to click on eight or more links (lounge, garden, pool, kitchen, etc etc) so many don't bother going past one or two.
Virtual tours are also limited in what you can do with them. People can't download them (unless they are in QuickTime), post them on video sharing sites or add them to a blog.
Video Video is not as flattering as high quality photographs but offers a real life view of what is being shown. It works well for property sales as there's no point creating a false impression which only wastes the time of the seller, agent and prospective buyer. Video is also an effective marketing tool for holiday rentals and hotels, especially when combined with the location, giving people a feel for the area.
Not all properties are suited to video. Dark rooms, confined spaces and unfurnished homes will not look good and we always tell the client if we think video is inappropriate.
Your video presentation can be set for downloading to an iPod, viewing on a TV or posted to websites like YouTube. | | |
